GameChanger is taking youth sports to a new level with apps that capture the essence of youth sporting events with professional-level coverage. Its mobile platforms unify sports moments for coaches, parents, volunteers, fans, and athletes, offering everything from scores and stats to live streaming and highlight reels in a single location.

Volunteers manage scoring, recruiters analyze player data, athletes create portfolios, family members offer support, and coaches evaluate gameplay—all with artificial intelligence (AI) being front and center.

Their Challenge

AI is not only crucial to GameChanger’s business model, but it’s also a key player in the satisfaction and experience of sports application users. In order to delight friends, family, and all involved, the AI models driving those apps must perform optimally in real-world scenarios.

GameChanger needed to make sure their models performed as expected in production. This was an acute issue for them because of the varying seasons and distribution of data rapidly changing from indoor to outdoor events.

2. Exception handling for resolving low-confidence inferences and edge cases for production workflows.
3. Model auditing for verifying production models’ behavior against key risk frameworks from a trusted third party.

The Results

Well, if you were at a youth baseball game, we’d tell you that the game just started. We’re in the early innings of the AI journey in monitoring and managing GameChanger’s apps across youth sports.

So far, CloudFactory continues to crush it when it comes to combining technology and human talent to ensure model performance by continually monitoring models and reacting quickly to resolve errors or anomalies and reduce incidents.

The ultimate goal is to help GameChanger improve model reliability and deploy into production with confidence. So far, CloudFactory is right on track.
